Do push notifications work?

If you’re reading this you might be wondering what the heck a push notification is

It’s a great question.  Let’s take this to a dictionary level for a minute.

[thrive_testimonial name=”The Dictionary” company=”” image=”http://epicconversions.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/dictionary.png”]Push Notifications are instant, clickable messages which appear directly on your desktop/mobile device. Websites can send push notifications directly to people who’ve “opted-in” to notifications from their web browsers. The so-called “subscriber” does not need to be on your site to receive the notification. Push notifications work on both desktop and mobile.[/thrive_testimonial]

Now, I don’t want you to get the wrong idea.  I have been a big fan of email for a long time and that is probably not going to change.  And I am resistant to change as much as the next grumpy old bastard.  However, to pretend like the world isn’t changing and you can just keep on doing what you have been doing and everything will be cool…is foolish.

We all have to keep up with what’s going on.  When a new technology comes along that is going to help us we shouldn’t be ignoring that.  So that’s why I started looking at push notifications.  I started to see a lot of blogs that I personally love using them.  And then I was asked if I would be interested in taking a look at something called ZenNotify and possibly promoting it.  So with a heavy sigh and a realization that I need to change with the times, I said let me take a look at it.  Here are the basics of what I saw:

But that was just…technical stuff.  I needed to know if this thing worked and I personally haven’t tried it.  I see a lot of people starting to use push notifications though so I thought I would go to facebook and ask people.  2,000 plus business friends should be good for something lol…

So that was pretty promising.   Real people using this stuff and getting real results.  And when I say real people, I don’t just mean my friends.  Check these well known sites out that we all love using push notifications as well…

And all that was pretty cool and pretty convincing as well.  I wanted to find some more info on this.  So I went over to the family friendly neighborhood known as Quora.com and I found this nice series of answers.  For those that don’t like to click on stuff, here is a little summary of what I saw for ya…

And to top all this off lets check out a quick case study:

So I’m as new to push notifications as many of you and I really have no personal experience with them.  But I wanted to share my findings and give you an opportunity to check out ZenNotify which is a brand new software from Desmond Ong.

So check it out.  Use it and let me know what you think.  I’m extremely interested in this form of online 1 on 1 communication.

That’s all I got for today.  Hope this one has been insightful and helpful for you.
